Interference Management - Events and Happenings

Meetings, Workshops & Seminars

As part of the Interference Management project, two public seminars were held at which the thoughts and findings of the project team were presented. These workshops proved essential in seeking to encourage participation and discussion of the issues raised and provided a great deal of feedback which was then used to refine the project findings.

First Interference Management Workshop

Brussels, Belgium, Thursday 3 May 2007

The First Interference Management Workshop took place on Thursday 3 May 2007 in Brussels. Attended by around 80 radio spectrum industry professionals, the day's presentations encouraged many lively discussions and debate on matters including spectrum management, interference, market based spectrum management mechanisms, the R&TTE directive and EMC.

The day's agenda together with electronic copies of all the slides presented at the workshop can be found here go.

Second Interference Management Workshop

Brussels, Belgium, Tuesday 9 October 2007

A Second Interference Management Workshop took place on Tuesday 9 October 2007 in Brussels. It was attended by almost 100 spectrum industry professionals. As well as presentations from the project team on the findings of the study, there was very lively debate concerning many of the issues raised especially with respect to the need for a reconsideration of interference and compatibility studies and on revisions to the definition of harmful interference.

The day's agenda together with electronic copies of all the slides presented at the workshop can be found here go.
The project team would like to express their sincere thanks to those who gave their valuable time to attend these two workshops. Your questions and comments proved exceptionally useful in honing and sharpening the project's recommendations.
